Submission Guidelines

Nightlife Photo Submissions

  • By submitting your photo(s) to ChicagoNightlifeGuide.net, you grant ChicagoNightlifeGuide.net and Nightlife Marketing Inc. a royalty-free license to publicly display, reproduce, and use the photographs in any form or media for any and all.
  • You will retain the copyright to your photo(s) and ChicagoNightlifeGuide.net and Nightlife Marketing Inc. will not sell your photo(s).
  • You warrant that the photo is your original work, does not violate the copyright or any other personal or property right of any third party, and you have obtained any and all releases and permissions necessary for our intended use.

Venue Submission Guidelines

General

  • Only venues located in Chicago, IL and its surroundings will be considered.
  • Venues must be open to the public.

Accuracy

  • The Venue Information Provider is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of each venue submission. Chicago Nightlife Guide does not take responsibility for the accuracy of the venue information.
  • In the event of a venue closing down, it is the responsibility of the Venue Information Provider to notify Chicago Nightlife Guide.

Prohibited

  • Chicago Nightlife Guide reserves the right to refuse inclusion on its site of any venue deemed inappropriate or that doesn’t meet Chicago Nightlife Guide’s criteria as Chicago nightlife venue.

Grammar

  • Venue descriptions should not exceed 500 words. We will remove excessive text.
  • Do not submit copy-pasted press releases or other documents.
  • Do not submit advertisements or blatant and excessive self-promotion or hype-oriented material.
  • Venue details and descriptions must have proper English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure. Venue details and descriptions must also be proofed and double checked for accuracy.

Copyright

  • By submitting material to Chicago Nightlife Guide (information or images) you are representing that you own the rights to all of the information or images submitted. By submitting any copyrighted material, you are representing that you have purchased and/or received clearance from the copyright holder.
  • You agree to indemnify, defend and hold blameless Chicago Nightlife Guide for any and all claims, demands or lawsuits arising out of any submission(s) you make.
  • By submitting material for consideration, you automatically release the right for Chicago Nightlife Guide to use the material in any of its marketing materials without compensation to you or to any other parties.

Right to Modify, Remove or Reject

  • We have a right to modify or remove a venue listing with or without reason
  • Chicago Nightlife Guide may reject inappropriate or incomplete submissions. Chicago Nightlife Guide will make an effort to notify the Venue Information Provider if the venue submission is rejected.

Venue Logo Image Guidelines

  • Size: up to 2MB.
  • Optimal dimensions: 276x115px
  • Format: png, gif or jpg.

Event Submission Guidelines

General

  • Only events located in Chicago, IL and its surroundings will be considered.
  • Events must be open to the public.
  • If tickets are required, where and when tickets can be purchased must be specified.
  • There are no refunds for Event Submission Fees

Accuracy

  • The Event Organizer is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of each event submission. Chicago Nightlife Guide does not take responsibility for accuracy of the event information.
  • In the event of changes or cancellations, it is the responsibility of the Event Organizer to notify Chicago Nightlife Guide.

  • Chicago Nightlife Guide reserves the right to refuse the posting of any event deemed inappropriate or that doesn’t meet Chicago Nightlife Guide’s criteria as a Chicago nightlife event.
  • Events that contain pornography or adult material, hatefulness or violence, racial intolerance or profanity are strictly prohibited.
  • Events that advocate or promote illegal activities or advocate against any individual or group are strictly prohibited.

Charity Benefit Events

  • All submission guidelines stated above apply to Charity Benefit Events.
  • The Charity Benefit Event category is for non-profit Charity Benefit Events only. If a for-profit event was posted under Charity Benefit Events, it will be either re-categorized or removed.
  • Charity Benefit Event coupon codes are for Charity Benefit Events only. If a Charity Benefit Event coupon code was used for a for-profit event, the event will be automatically removed without refund.
